Antarctica Terror Threat or Secrecy Coverup? Ice-is? Britain Issues Terrorism Warning for Antarctica... & Security Experts Aren’t Impressed

(Stillness in the Storm Editor) The UK is warning travelers to avoid the southernmost continent of Antarctica for fear of a terrorist attack from the Islamic State. Yes, you read that right.

I don't know what's more dubious, the fact that the group formerly known as ISIS or ISIL is still being blamed for US-led terrorism or that they are warning people away from a continent that doesn't receive regular travelers. Why are the powers that be so desperate to keep people away from Antarctica? Perhaps there is something to the claims of several whistleblowers and insiders that assert the secret space program and military industrial complex are actively using this area as a staging platform for black-budget and off-world activities.

Despite Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) founding its “caliphate” in the desert climes of the Middle East, the British Foreign Office has seen fit to issue a terrorism warning for travelers planning a sojourn to the vast, sub-zero wastelands of Antarctica.

In new official advice, the department warned: “Although there’s no recent history of terrorism in the British Antarctic Territory, attacks can’t be ruled out.

“There’s a heightened threat of terrorist attack globally against UK interests and British nationals, from groups or individuals motivated by the conflict in Iraq and Syria. You should be vigilant at this time.”

The warning drew a strong reaction from a former British Army colonel and one-time government security adviser.

“MI5’s then-director-general once said there was a terror threat almost everywhere except Antarctica. Now they’ve put Antarctica on the list,” Colonel Richard Kemp told the International Business Times (IBT).

“We expect guidance based on intelligence, not a pointless exercise in back-covering – unless I’ve missed the Islamic State Polar Brigade.”

A former Metropolitan Police detective also criticized the decision.

“The idea of ISIS terrorism at the South Pole is ridiculous,” Ian Horrocks told the IBT.

“It may put people at risk, as warnings with little credible explanation are often ignored.”

The UK’s Antarctic territory consists of a 660,000 sq mile chunk of the world’s most inhospitable wilderness.

It contains two research stations and several species of penguin, none of which are known to having extremist leanings.

Answer -- The primary goal of Stillness in the Storm is to help all people become better truth-seekers in a real-time boots-on-the-ground fashion. This is for the purpose of learning to think critically, discovering the truth from within—not just believing things blindly because it came from an "authority" or credible source. Instead of telling you what the truth is, we share information from many sources so that you can discern it for yourself. We focus on teaching you the tools to become your own authority on the truth, gaining self-mastery, sovereignty, and freedom in the process. We want each of you to become your own leaders and masters of personal discernment, and as such, all information should be vetted, analyzed and discerned at a personal level. We also encourage you to discuss your thoughts in the comments section of this site to engage in a group discernment process.
